Sonic and the Trans Formers - Chapiter 1 Part 4

Cindy: <vehicle mode> That must be the railroad line. I thought I saw something shining in the sunlight.

Tom: Check, that’s the railroad line.

Just then a sound like rushing air-wind overhead made Tom and Sonic look around then peer through the sunroof visor of the Camaro to see the DeLorean flying above them with a familiar time traveler at the wheel.

Doc Brown: Ahoy! <calls down> Thought I’d be of assistance if you don’t mind.

Sonic: No sweat, Doc. <calls back> Decided to help after all.

Doc Brown: Of course, as a means of assisting in the Autobot’s cause of saving the universe.

Tom: Can you see the quarry from up there? <calls to him>

Doc Brown: Affirmative! It’s just up ahead over the next rise.

Cindy: Thanks, Professor.

Doc Brown: Hey, I like your car disguise of the Porsche 911. Is that the only form you take on?

This made Sonic and Tom look curious as Cindy replied.

Cindy: Yes, I have another vehicle mode to change myself into, a Pontiac Solstice sports car.

Tom & Sonic: Holy cow! <say together>

Just then as Cindy came over the top of the hill the sprawling complex of the abandoned quarry came into sight. Moments later she pulled to a stop letting out Sonic and Tom as Emmett landed the time vehicle climbing out with Tails emerging from the passenger side of the car.

Tails: Whoa, it sure looks like a ghost town.

Doc Brown: Aye, that it does. No longer in production ever since it closed down years ago, went out of business.

Tom: Probably another quarry opened elsewhere and resumed making cement.

Sonic: Look at all the buildings covered with graffiti and rubble strewn everywhere. <makes a sick face> Ugh!

Tails: Ack! <sick face too> What a dump.

Cindy: I quite agree, great inventor.

Everywhere they looked there were ruined buildings with foliage growing all over the sides, broken windows, debris scattered everywhere. Nearby stood a stone crushing plant and on the rails sat a hopper train of several wagons connected together and miniature locomotive at the front of the train.

Sonic: What was that train used for?

Doc Brown: Rocks or boulders were transported from digging sites to that building <points to it> that would crush-break down the rocks into powder dust.

Tom: Which was then combined or mixed with water turning into a sticky substance known as cement.

Tails: Why would Borf and his minions want to test their power system in this dump. <scowling frown>

Cindy: Only one way to find out.

Closing her eyes the girlfriend to Don Davis began searching for signs of the Decepticons within the quarry but soon opened her eyes to exclaim.

Cindy: I cannot find them anywhere, they’re not in the quarry.

Doc Brown: Great Scott, if they’re not here then they must be somewhere else.

Tails: We have to find them so the Autobots can make their assault. <panics briefly>

Then the great inventor used his handheld computer to try and track down the location of the enemy as Tom looked over the map then glancing up occasionally to check his surroundings as Sonic too looked at the map. All of a sudden...Tails shouted.
Tails: Bingo, I know where they are!

Doc Brown: You found them, where are they?

Tom: Let’s hear it.

Tails: <shows hologram image from his computer> I noticed that this railroad line goes from the quarry and enters into a railroad tunnel over there. <points in another direction> My guess is that is where Borf and his horde are.

Sonic: Way to go, partner. <slaps high-five with him>

Tom: <checks map to confirm Tail’s findings> Yes, there’s a tunnel not far from the quarry in that direction.

Cindy: I’ll get in touch with Ace and let him know.

Doc Brown: Then the fun begins.

Seconds later the voice of Ace came over the speakers.

Ace: Good work in locating Borf’s whereabouts. Unfortunately he would have the tunnel fortified so we won’t take a direct approach to attack head-on because Borf would be expecting me to do just that. <pauses a moment then speaks again> Maggie and Whipple said that tunnels have built in air shafts to allow air or wind to pass freely from one end to another so we’ll launch our assault that way instead. Standby to lend support if I request it.

Cindy: Yes sir. <replies back>

Ace: Roger that, check in later. <shuts off>

Tom: How about we check it our for ourselves to make sure.

Emmett, Tails and Sonic agreed to the idea and soon after they were standing before the entrance of the railroad tunnel. It was brightly illuminated from within but thanks to a Harry Potter style spell-charm courtesy of Cindy everyone was now able to see into the interior of the tunnel and they could plainly see Borf, Mega Mind, Drakken, Amber, Crystal, Tryax, Robotnik and the Terminators gathered around the space-drive test rig which was glowing and humming with power as final preparations went ahead to commence testing the ion-drive system.

Sonic: Looks like they’re almost ready to test their power system.

Tails: And we can’t even stop them. <glowers>

Tom: At least our friends will do the honors for us.

Doc Brown: I definitely hope so.

Cindy: <hears her communicator come online> It’s Ace, he’s about to make his move.

Ace: <voice on speaker> Can you hear me? <when Cindy replies “Roger”> Okay, we are in position just above Borf and company. Again standby to lend a helping hand. <again shuts off radio>

All of a sudden the voice of the super genius rang out from deep inside the tunnel.

Mega Mind: Alert! The Autobots are attacking.

Borf: Do not let them destroy my power system!

Robotnik: Victory for the Sky-Net empire!

Sonic: <glares> Damn! <fists clenched> That’s it, I’m going in.

Before Tom or others could stop him the fastest thing alive ran headlong into the tunnel followed by Tails flying after his friend.

Doc Brown: Great Scott! Are they acting reckless?

Tom: I don’t know...but if Sonic can stop Robotnik, he can do it.

Cindy: Go Sonic, go Tails!

Simultaneously with Mega Mind’s shouted warning to his leader the Autobots Ace, Kimberly, Kim Possible, Duke Nukem, Don Davis dropped down out of the air shafts firing their laser guns on the move. Caught off-guard and by surprise the Decepticons froze momentarily like statues unable to do anything until Borf shouted.

Borf: Don’t just stand there, do not let Ace destroy my test rig!

Robotnik: Aye, he must not damage my friend’s power system.

Immediately Mega Mind, Drakken, Amber, Crystal and Tryax Kahn rallied shooting back as they took cover among the test machinery equipment, even the Terminators blasted away too trying to take down the opposition.

Knuckles: This is my kind of fight. <leaps into action> Bashing time!

As the echidna warrior began swinging his massive fists left and right, the impact of his blows taking down the T-800 and 850 units one by one, he was soon joined by Sonic as the hedgehog warrior zipped about landing his own blows as well as also striking out with kicks like a true martial artist then changing into spinning blue ball to cannon-ball into the machines sending them crashing like tenpins in bowling. Soon Tails joined the fray scoring hits with his laser gun as he flitted about in the air.

Maggie: All right, Team Sonic here to save the day.

Kim: Those machines don’t stand a chance against them.

Kimberly: Hell-yeah!

Even the Decepticons reacted in shock alarm.

Drakken: Oh, no...not them again.

Amber: Not those mutants Robotnik told us about.

Crystal: We can’t even take them ourselves, too fast for us.

Mega Mind: We mustn’t let them destroy the test rig.

Tryax: Easier said than done!

Borf: This time I’ll turn all three of them into babies, YES! <aims his Infanto Ray gun> Smile for the camera. <sneers>

He began blasting away trying to score hits on the three warriors yet Sonic avoided the deadly beam knowing what would happen should it strike him down, because as Ace had warned him...

Ace: If you get zapped, you get shrunk back into a baby in seconds...

Tails too tried not getting himself hit by the lasers as well.

Tails: I don’t want to end up wearing dirty diapers myself!

Borf tried shooting at Knuckles, wanting to get back at the last of his tribe.

Borf: I’m not going to let you strike me down again, not after what you did to me.

Knuckles: Oh, yeah? <leers> Then better hope and pray it does not happen again.

Suddenly he was gone. One second he was there, the next...not there as Borf wheeled one way and another looking for him. Even Robotnik aboard his egg-mobile also looked around in confusion.

Robotnik: Where did he go?

Suddenly he was sent toppling out of his hovercraft clutching at his anatomy in pain, hitting the ground in adrenaline shock then the pain set in afterwards. Not from Knuckles of course but from Sonic who surprised the evil scientist when the hedgehog changed again into spinning blue ball to slam into the flying hover pod, the force of the blow hitting Robotnik in his midsection. Simultaneously Sonic still in spinning form slammed into Borf too, striking the Decepticon leader in the balls-groin once again sending the blue skin warlord sprawling onto his face momentarily stunned. Drakken again ran to his brother’s aid.

Drakken: Stupid rodent! Take that! <opens fire at Sonic>

Sonic: Missed me, BLAGH! <sticks out his tongue>

Maggie: Take that you no good bully. <zaps him with her guns>

Drakken gasped and collapsed prostrate face-first to the ground.

Tails: Good shot, ma’am. <thumbs up>

Maggie: Thanks, you’re good yourself.

Don: Still can’t see anything, too bright in here.

Duke: This should do the trick. <takes aim with his laser guns>

But as the alien-buster, ladies man prepared to shoot however...it was Knuckles doing the honors as he struck out toppling the towers one by one as their light globes shattered on impact plunging the railroad tunnel back into darkness once again.

Knuckles: Oops, he-he...<grins or smirks>

Duke: No sweat. <lifts up dark glasses and winks>

Knuckles: Cool...

Ace: Autobots, take out the power system.

But as he and his warriors began to make their assault however the Decepticons rallied and shot back forcing them to retreat instead. Maggie shouted into her communicator.

Maggie: Tom, Emmett! We need a diversion.

Doc Brown: Roger that, starting our roll right now.

Tom: On our way. When you get the word, get out of there as fast as you can run.

Maggie: You got it. <shuts off her communicator>

Curious as to what Emmett and Tom had in mind, Sonic raced back out of the tunnel but at first saw no sign of his friends anywhere. Then the sports car known as the Porsche 911 screeched to a halt in front of him.

Cindy: Sonic, get in! <opens driver’s door> The others are waiting at the quarry.

Sonic: Okay. <jumps into driver’s seat – shuts door>

Within seconds Cindy made it back to the quarry where Tom and Emmett waved her over to where they were standing in front of the hopper train. Sonic jumped out of the sports car as Cindy changed back into her normal self.

Tom: Sonic, good, you’re back. We’re going to use this hopper train as a battering ram to destroy Borf’s power system.

Sonic: Cool. Does it still function?

Doc Brown: Yes, there’s plenty of coal in the furnace so there should be plenty of heat to allow the power levels to rise enough to get the engine running. <climbs into the cab of the locomotive> See if you can unlock the brakes from the wheels on those wagons.

Sonic: Aye-aye! <salutes the time traveler>

With that he began helping Tom and Cindy disengage the brake pads on the wagons then joined the time traveler with Tom and Cindy inside the locomotive cab. Emmett started the engine as the steam rose within the pipes from the heat of the fire inside the furnace climbing into the green zone then engaged the throttle controls. With several jerks the entire train slowly rolled out of the quarry along the rails heading towards the railroad tunnel. Taking the communicator from Cindy the fastest thing alive shouted into the device.

Sonic: Incoming train on its way to destroy Borf’s power system. Get out of there, NOW!

Cindy: I see the tunnel up ahead. <looks out cab window>

Doc Brown: Time for us to abandon ship like the Titanic.

Tom: Too risky for us to jump, might end up breaking legs or worse.

Cindy: Not necessary...time for you and Sonic to experience your first flying lesson.

In the next moment she was levitating into the air with Tom, Sonic and Emmett also flying through the air as they watched from a safe distance as the unmanned runaway train barreled headlong into the railroad tunnel and in the next instant there came a loud explosion-like sound and bright flash of light and heat. What happened was that the runaway train collided full tilt into the space-drive test rig setting off the explosion of released energy. Shockwaves rushed out like tsunami waves flinging the Decepticons and Terminators in all directions except for Robotnik who managed to escape at the last second, thus saving himself from certain injury or death. In a billowing cloud of dust the entire tunnel collapsed upon itself until nothing was left.

Tails: Oh my god...<quotes Joey Stiles of E-C-W> did we do that?

Knuckles: I don’t think so.

Maggie: I thought I saw what appeared to be a unmanned hopper train race past us into the tunnel as we escaped.

Kim: I saw it too, wonder where it came from?

Duke: Guess we’ll never know.

Don: I bet my girlfriend had something to do with that, or it was Tom and Emmett Brown instead.

Kimberly: Here they come. <spots her friends flying towards them>

Tom: Hey, Lucy...I’m home. <quotes Ricky Ricardo>

Doc Brown: Jumping gigawatts! <exclaims in shock as he sees the destruction> Look at that.

Sonic: Good grief! <quotes Charlie Brown> It worked.

Tails: Yes, the entire tunnel collapsed.

Knuckles: That should keep the Decepticons and Terminators down and out for now.

Ace: Yes, for now. <agrees> But rest assured, Borf will return to get revenge upon us for ruining his plans.

Sonic: And we’ll be ready for those grays next time. <leers>

Then the fastest thing alive, his comrades and foster parents (Tom and Maggie), time traveler and the Autobots made their way back to Green Hills and Hill Valley.
